Kristen Zike Pollock is the youngest daughter of Wesleyan medical missionaries and was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa four months before their return to the United States  Kristen grew up in Iowa, was a French major at Houghton College in NY where she met Michael, and later moved to Baltimore and then to China for 9 years with her husband and children.  Currently residing in Michigan, she is not sure where she feels “local” but enjoys differences of culture… and every opportunity to travel and explore them.  She values music, books, beauty, growing food in her backyard, her friends around the world, and finding ways to advocate for refugees and other immigrants. Most of all, she is thankful to know the Source of Hope and to have opportunities to encourage her fellow pilgrims along the way.
